COMPETE AND LOST COMPETENCE
We sojourn in life like a race, where everyone desires a good ending; standing
tall. Ironically, not every beginner gets a prize. The race not
being without guided rules, negligence and mistakes terminate the strong
desire!
Life
works with principles and standards. The quest to excel brings about high
competition as the aspiration to stand out and get the “medal” has led to vandalism of irreparable- losing one for another. Competition also exist on whose voice is to be
heard and honored. Right from creche, we compete to be the best and as time
unveils her identity, the realization to the fact that life is a race get dawn
on us, then we begin to struggle and strive to survive- survival of the
fittest! A race that is not only meant for the strong but also for the weak. Everyone under heaven
keeps competing, yet she (life) has many prizes to give; both wrapped and unwrapped.
The
roles and responsibilities attached to our individual beings are enormous that
trying to become someone else is only an additional burden. Neglecting one’s
vital roles will only result into becoming irrelevant. Table salt and sugar are
both crystals and sweeteners that exhibit the same color, yet irreplaceable. At
times, we are only found in competitions that make us lost our competence and
basic areas of influence, therefore resulting in chaos. More often than not,
the unconscious/ conscious reason behind this competition is the FEELING OF INSECURITY, INFERIORITY, and FEAR
or basically to OPPRESS
It is
high time we rose to take up our individual roles and play our parts to remain
competent in the area of our influence- irrespective of the GENDER, RACE and
AGE. So I see the BEST of
competition as that which FLAMES UP YOUR
DESIRE TO EXCEL, not out of Hatred, Insecurity and Jealousy neither for Momentary
Applaud, Intimidation, and Mere Impression of oneself. When we compete, it should not be done for
the joy in seeing the downfall of another, but for the benefit of all (making
you grow, and teaching the “temporarily defeated” that a ladder also has steps;
we keep climbing)
…else,
competence is lost rather than a feeling of completeness.
